Councils

Councils backing the Doggy Do's and Don'ts initiative.

Blacktown City Council

Blacktown City Council has already thrown their support firmly behind this initiative. Through their generous support and assistance we have been able to bring this initiative to fruition. The team at the Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre (BARC) were keen to see this project come to light and have demonstrated a passion for educating the public in this area.

With the rapid rise in dog attacks across New South Wales and the rest of Australia, it is more important than ever for councils to consider joining our initiative. Help prevent further harm and promote responsible dog ownership to your fellow citizenry.

Every council who gets behind this initiative helps to spread the message of responsible pet ownership.

While statistics may show low historical rates of dog attacks in an a local government area, this does not mean that there is 'no risk'. A significant number of attacks may be going unreported or may be considered 'to minor' for concern. However, this should not mean that the message of responsible pet ownership is unimportant, as it can help to significantly reduce other forms of anti-social behaviour and tension within an area.

Reach out to Doggy Do's and Don'ts and see how we can help you implement your own initiative - even customising the message to better suit your local area, council goals or to synergise with existing local government messaging.
